DECEMBER 22, 2025 – GIVING BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY
“Community” isn’t just a place where we live; it’s a commitment we make to one another. The holidays are all about coming together, sharing great food, and making sure everyone feels a little extra love. That is why we are honored to announce our recent food and household item donation to Kedish House.
Day in and day out, you provide more than just resources; you provide dignity, compassion, and a path forward. The team here at Ellendale Grocery wants to thank you for all you do!
We are humbled to know that our donation will help keep their pantry stocked and ready for the families they serve.
DECEMBER 2025 – THE HOLIDAY FESTIVITIES
December has been a whirlwind of holiday cheer here at the store! We kicked off the month by getting creative, our coloring station has been a hit with the kids (and, let’s be honest, the staff too), adding a wonderful personal touch to our office window.
The transformation started right after Thanksgiving when Jeannette, Jersie, and I (Carolyn) had a blast decorating the store. We even managed to recruit Joe and Severin to help wrap “gifts” to complete the look!
Of course, living where we do means we’ve had to navigate some wild winter weather. We know that unexpected closures aren’t always ideal, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding when the snow (and freezing rain) rolls in.
The highlight of our month was the Holiday Open House on December 17th, where we loved seeing so many of you. Congratulations again to the winner of our charcuterie board basket! From our store to your home, the Ellendale Grocery team sends you our warmest holiday wishes.
NOVEMBER 10, 2025 – A CELEBRATION WITH OUR CUSTOMERS
What an incredible start to the holiday season! Our Grand Reopening day was a fantastic success, packed with smiling faces from the Produce department to the checkouts.
The morning was filled with:
- Delicious Samples: Customers enjoyed tasting sweet, savory, and spicy new items!
- Community Fun: We loved mingling with our wonderful customers and getting to share a little joy with our team.
- The Hand Turkey Wall: Yes, you read that correctly! We set up a Hand Turkey Drawing Station where customers could create decorations for our store, and the entire Ellendale Grocery team joined in!
We are immensely grateful for the overwhelming support and enthusiasm of our community. Thank you for making our Grand Reopening day so memorable!
NOVEMBER 30, 2025 – GIVING BACK TO THE ELLENDALE FOOD PANTRY
At Ellendale Grocery, we know that a pantry is the heart of a home. It’s where school lunches begin and where families gather for a quick snack or a comforting dinner. That is why we are proud to share our donation of pantry and shelf-stable items to the Ellendale Food Pantry.
Our delivery included breakfast items, canned goods, soft drinks and juices, salad dressing, snack crackers, and much more.
To the volunteers, thank you for all you that you do. We are honored to contribute!
OCTOBER 31, 2025 – COOKIE MONESTER HITS MAIN STREET: OUR FIRST TRUNK OR TREAT!
This Halloween, we traded in our registers for candy bags and joined the annual Ellendale Community Trunk or Treat event, something we had never done before! Despite the cold and damp evening, the energy on Main Street was incredible.
Some of our team, Joe (who was an enthusiastic fella behind Cookie Monster), Jersie, Carolyn, and Jeannette, had a fantastic time. The highlight? Seeing the sheer joy on the kids’ faces as they received their treats, and, more importantly, getting to connect with our customers and friends outside of the four walls of the store.
Events like this truly showcase the best of Ellendale. We’re proud to be part of a community that comes together to provide such a safe, welcoming, and fun family experience. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our trunk!
